Purpose-built for mulching, the time-saving Alpina AL3 45 doesn’t collect grass clippings. Instead, they’re shredded and reduced to tiny, practically invisible particles that are scattered across the lawn surface, where their decomposition produces an effective – and free – organic fertiliser.

This 45cm steel decked model comes powered by an economical 123cc STIGA OHV engine with Autochoke for stress-free starting.

A hand-propelled machine weighing only 23kg, the AL3 45 excels in terms of manoeuvrability and is an excellent investment if your lawn has trees, ornaments, furniture and landscaping to work around.

The cutting height on the AL3 45 adjusts through five positions, ranging from 31-80mm, to suit both the grass conditions and your preferred finish.

Ball-bearing wheels – with a gentle soft tread – ensure a smooth run and will continue to roll freely with age, while a foldable handlebar means you’ll be able to find a spot for the mower in the most cluttered of sheds.
